James is a Trust Officer specializing in the oversight and management of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). James also serves on the board of directors for ESOP-owned companies.
Before joining ESOP Trust Company, James worked as an ESOP and employee benefits law attorney serving clients throughout the country. James was most recently a partner at ESOP Plus, LLP. Prior to entering private practice, James was the National ESOP Coordinator and ERISA Enforcement Advisor for the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. where he identified and corrected violations of ERISA in connection with ESOPs, including stock drops, improper valuations, prohibited loans, discrimination issues, voting rights, diversification and refinancing.
James holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Utah State University. James received his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University where he received top honors in Pensions and Employee Health Plans: ERISA & HIPPA. James also holds a Master of Laws from Georgetown University, with a certificate in employee benefits. James is a recurring speaker at ESOP conferences held by The ESOP Association (TEA) and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).

Katherine (Katy) Whitehead is a Trust Officer specializing in the oversight and management of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). She also serves on the board of directors for ESOP-owned companies and as a trustee for a profit-sharing retirement plan.
Before joining ESOP Trust Company, Katy worked at GreatBanc Trust Company, focusing on valuation matters and ESOP transactions. She has extensive experience as an independent valuation advisor, conducting annual ESOP company valuations and issuing fairness opinions for institutional ESOP trustees. Additionally, Katy brings more than a decade of expertise in public accounting, where she provided tax planning and consulting services, including income tax strategies for individuals and closely held businesses.
Katy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. She is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers, a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), and a member of The ESOP Association (TEA).
John Zollo is a Trust Officer specializing in the oversight and management of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). John also serves as a special fiduciary and advisory board member for ESOP-owned companies, and as a member of administrative committees for 401(k) and profit sharing plans.
Before joining ESOP Trust Company, John worked as an ESOP and employee benefits law attorney at law firms located in the West, Midwest, and Northeast. He was most recently a partner at ESOP Plus, LLP in New York and is admitted to practice law in California and New York. John has served as an independent ESOP trustee since 2013.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from Columbia University (1995) and a Master of Science in Psychology from Ohio University (1999). John received his Juris Doctor from the UC Davis School of Law (2007) where he was an editor of the UC Davis Law Review, completed the Public Service Law Program, and was the recipient of the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Pension Law. John has been a speaker at ESOP conferences held by The ESOP Association (TEA) and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).
Bruce Egbert is a senior financial executive and Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the wholesale distribution industry. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a leading distribution company, he oversees strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions, integration, and financial performance optimization.
Bruce is also a recognized leader in Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), having designed and managed strategies that align employee incentives with company success. His work has helped build cultures of ownership and long-term value creation.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Bruce serves as a trusted advisor to boards and executive teams. He serves as a board member for several ESOP-owned companies. Bruce is known for his analytical rigor, collaborative style, and commitment to sustainable, inclusive growth through financial and operational excellence.
Krista Rouse is Vice President of Product Management at Insight Global, where she leads strategic initiatives across the Information Technology (IT) organization. Her work encompasses IT product strategy and growth, application development and delivery, business architecture, and user experience.
With more than 20 years of experience, Krista has a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing product and strategy organizations. Before joining Insight Global, she served as Head of Product, Privacy, and Strategic Partnerships at The Weather Channel, where she led mobile solution development for OEMs and strategic partners.
Krista is also active in thought leadership and governance. She is an experienced board member for both ESOP-owned and other organizations, including as an inaugural Steering Committee member of The Alliance for Integrative Approaches to Extreme Environmental Events, reflecting her commitment to cross-sector collaboration and innovation.
